What an amazing day!!!
Hoppy Easter everyone!! I can't believe how nice it was today!! Not as nice as it was yesterday, but as long as there is no snow, I'm smitten as a kitten!
It started with a shower! lol! I love my showers! But no, really...I showered, I got ready for work. Went to work. Decided it was pointless to be open today. Closed the store but turning off the lights and pulling my sign. Decided that it might be nice to be open. Re-opened by putting the sign back out and turning the lights back on. Thought, "Nobody in their right mind is going to come in today". Closed again. Remembered that I told Sherri that I was going to be open today. Re-opened. Figured I could call her and let her know I was closed and at home. Closed. Thought about all the money I wasn't going to be making if I were closed. Re-opened. Put up my "Back in 10 minutes" sign, headed home and got the kids from Steven so he could go to work. Walked back to the store. Took down my "Back in 10 minutes" sign. My parents came. They brought me my patio table (hooray!) and set it up. We all hung out outside, the kids played, my parents and I watched and talked. We closed the store (for the rest of the day this time!). Went back to the house. Played outside. My parents went home (my dad messed up his shoulder yesterday: he was sore). Steven showed up literally 5 minutes after they left :( The kids played outside with bubbles and I played with them. Daddy played with Savanna on the slide, I eventually joined them. He then hauled out the motorized garden wagon and hooked it up to the little green kids wagon. Anyways, we ended up putting together the train and taking a "walk". (Savanna in the power wheels jeep, Jayden and Rachel in the green wagon and Jonathan driving) Steven and I walked behind while holding hands. <3 We went through the park, up George St. down to the water, threw rocks in the water, walked up the main street, and then back down, then home. It was soooo nice, and I loved being able to spend the nice day with my family! <3 We had sooo mnay people slow down to look at the "train", we even had one woman and guy stop their car and tell us that he thought it was so cool, and that his wife had come home and picked him up after seeing us and drove him around town just so he could see it! lol! I love it! I'm so proud of my inventor man! <3
After dinner, I bathed the kids, and then Steven and I put them to bed. Right now I'm sitting across from my man on a very uncomfortable chair, updating my blog while he ventures through the Blasted Lands (WoW).
I'm so excited about my "new" sewing area. Steven aquired a new desk from his dad. So he brought it home on Thursday and set it up, which meant getting rid of his old desk, a sturdy, "L" shaped desk. I've wanted it FOREVER and pounced on it as soon as he said he was done with it! lol! So I set it up Thursday night before I headed out with my bestie. Last night (Saturday) I "christened" it by making my very first piece of clothing: a little pink with black polka dots pullover dress for Rachel...I LOVE it! It isn't perfect, but it is my first attempt! ...I'm very proud, and she loves it! :D
So, my parents came over today, as I mentioned. My mom made the girls ADORABLE outfits!! She made Rachel a dress, and Savanna a shirt and shorts set. Don't forget the matchy matchy scruntchie and headbands! So, anyways, she gave the girls their dresses, handed me 2 more dresses like Rachels so I could sell them in my store, and the pulled out a matching adult dress for...my mannequin??! No, uh uh...this isn't going to work! She told me that the cut wasn't going to be very flattering on me, and that she is sure someone would buy it. Well, I brought it home and tried it on, and I LOVE IT!! I suits me PERFECTLY!! It is exactly what I live in during the hot summer days that I just don't feel like dressing. I have a black one upstairs just like it! It is is nice tomorrow, I know what I'm wearing!! :) And I can't wait to get the girls in their outfits, me in mine and get Steven to take some nice summertime photos! (I'll post them as soon as we do!)
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!! There...I said it!! It is officially my first Bitch n' Stitch! I don't know who is coming, if they are coming and when they are coming, but I'll be there and as long as someone shows up, I'll be happier than...than...a kid in a candy store!! HEY!! Maybe I'll show off my new dress!!!XD And my parents bought me a really awesome coffee/tea/iced coffee maker for Easter...I'm going to use it on Wednesday as well!! I can't wait!! :D
Even though I'm soooo excited right now, thinking about my Bitch n' Stitch makes me think about someone else. We will call her Stacy. Stacy and I were friends. We were good frineds, at least, thsi is what I thought. Not too long ago, we had a falling out. It wasn't a falling out really: I see it as, she didn't want to be my friend anymore and picked something out of a hat to be mad at me about, confronted me on the street with my 3 kids, and we haven't spoken since. But call it what you will.
So, I was talking to my mom today about Stacy, and how much the whole situation is bothering me. Because even though I couldn't care less about what her friend Rochelle thinks about what, and I couldn't care less that Stacy has decided to end the friendship over something stupid and petty, it is still bugging me. Either way, my son Jonathan was hanging around and announced to me that Stacy's daughter (in Jonathan's class) told him that Stacy was mad at me, that I did something very mean to Stacy and that she thinks I'm a bitch. Hold the phone now, call me a bitch, go for it, it tickles me pink to hear that, tell me what you want about whatever you want...come to my store and bitch me out because someone shit in your cornflakes...who cares, but the minute you decide to start involving my 10 year old son in this is the moment that I loose all respect for you and all parties involved. I'm so angry I don't know what to do. Honestly, do you think he hasn't been through enough, now you need to involve him in bullshit small town gossip and politics??? Give me a fucking break, what are you 2?? *uhm* ...sorry...it just makes me sooo mad!
Stacy (You know who you are) If you are reading this (or Rochelle, as I think you are) If you have a problem, you know where I live, you know where I work, hell, you have every number of every phone that I own. Get your head out of your ass, call me, confront me (but preferrably not on the Main Street of Creemore this time) get it out of your system to me...not my 10 year old. This has gone on long enough. I'm not coming to you, I'm not the one with the initial problem. You don't want to be my friend, fine. Dandy. But when it comes to my friends, my kids, and my family. Fuck off! I'm tired of making myself sick over this situation. I'm tired of feeling like an asshole, because that is what you have made me out to be. Grow up!!
Thats all.
So tomorrow...tomorrow I'm closed because it is Monday and Mondays I'm closed. I'm thinking of cleaning. The house needs it. But I'm also thinking of sewing...yea sewing!! :) I need some more fabric. (I can hear Steven's voice in my head now: No!! No, you don't, you have enough!!) My problem is, I've been buying to make purses. Not clothing. Now that I'm getting into clothing, I need to buy more yardage per print. Instead of purchasing 1 meter that will do me one purse, I need to buy enough of something to be able to make a batwing shirt (my next project) or another couple of dresses for the girls. So there! :p
I'm also hoping that Sherri comes over...bring your son...it'll be fun! :D
Anyhoo, I'm going to go watch tv and knit. It has been a while since I sat down to knit. I miss my knitting! :'( I'ma coming! Momma's coming!! :)
Nighty night y'all! xoxo
